The Mahogany Project Inc. (TMP Inc) is looking for spirited individuals to join our team, with opportunities to
work hands-on in Houston or remote from home. The individual must be willing to uphold the mission and
vision of the organization and be ready to work with members of Transgender, Nonbinary, and other genderexpansive individuals and people living with HIV or AIDS.
TMP Inc. is a grassroots nonprofit in Houston, TX aiming to reduce social isolation, stigma, and acts of
injustice in TQLGB+ communities. We raise awareness and advocate for the expansion of social, health, and
education services that are inclusive of all. Educate local communities on how to navigate resources and bring
them back to their community—at the same time, coordinating social and educational activities to improve,
impact, and engage with the community members.
Success in this role requires an individual to perform each essential duty in a timely and detailed manner. The
requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for an internship with TMP
Inc. Each intern has additional conditions specific to its type. Reasonable accommodations may be made to

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• A minimum of 20 hrs./week is required for this position.
• Must have access to a computer and internet.
• Must have experience with G-Suites, Slack, Basecamp, MailChimp, Monday.com, or the willingness to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and produce high-quality work.
• Have the willingness to work between teams and support.
• Takes ownership and responsibility of projects and tasks.
• Organized and detail-oriented self-starter with a professional demeanor.
• Highly focused and results-oriented: identify goals, set priorities, resolve issues, and extract data.

Interns will report directly to the executive director of TMP Inc. and will be required to submit hours monthly
with a work report.
